Osimhen’s father reveals he wanted U-17 star to be lawyer or doctor

Victor Osimhen’s father, Patrick, has revealed he wanted the 2015 FIFA U017 World Cup Golden Boot winner, to chase a career in Law or Medicine.
 
The proud parent, in an exclusive interview with CompleteSports, insisted that he will allow his son choose his next club himself.

Osimhen was one of the stars of the all-conquering Golden Eaglets in Chile, scoring 10 goals as Emmanuel Amuneke’s men defended their title. But his father admits he had other plans for him.

“I’ve always wanted my son to go to school to become either a medical doctor or a lawyer but he was always coming home dirty from the field playing football,” Patrick said.

“And each time I watch him play, I’m happy and thankful to God. His strength lies in knowing exactly where he is at, but never gets overwhelmed, that I know of him.”
