14 suspected cultists arrested by policemen in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command has announced the arrest of 14 suspected cult members in who are said to be behind the reign of terror being continuously unleashed on the residents of Mushin and Idi-Oro Areas of Lagos.
According to a statement on Tuesday by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Patricia Amadin, the suspects were arrested on August 24, at Mushin Area of Lagos.
Amadin said the command, acting on diligently sourced and managed intelligence, swooped in on the gang and 14 members have so far been arrested.
DAILY POST gathered that the command had smashed the notorious robbery/cultist group, in a bid to make good its promise to chase out armed robbers and cultists from the state.
Following the apprehension, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, urged the people of state to be calm and continue to furnish the police with vibrant and actionable intelligence.
According to Owoseni, unless the group desisted from its nefarious activities, there shall be no hiding place for them. He also warned all cult members and robbers that the police would employ every legal means within its disposal to decisively deal with them and their sponsors cum benefactors.
