Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho, has insisted that he will not buy new
players in January, but expects the Blues to finish in the top four.
Mourinho
is going through the worst phase of his managerial career, with Chelsea
sitting in 16th place in the Premier League, three points above
relegation places.
There have been rumours that the former Real
Madrid coach, will raid the winter transfer market for players to
freshen up his squad. But in his Friday press conference ahead of the
visit of Norwich City, he denied those reports.
“Yes,
I’m confident we can get into the top four. I will not ask for any
change from the board in January,” he told reporters on Friday.
“I’m
happy with the players, I’m good with the players. I don’t need to
‘clean’ the dressing room, like some people are saying, I don’t need to
ask the club to buy players in January.”
