A 400-level male student, Kayode Oluwaseyi, of the Ladoke Akintola
University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Oyo state, has been paraded
by the State Police Command for allegedly breaking into students’
hostels to steal and rape female students.
According to reports, Oluwaseyi, of the department of Transport, belonged to a notorious gang known as ‘Three Mopols.’
The
state Police Commissioner, Leke Oyebade, confirmed that the suspect
stole valuable property and sometimes raped his female victims.
Confirming his arrest, Oyebade said the suspect belonged to a notorious criminal gang better known as ‘Three Mopols.’
“Oluwaseyi
was paraded with two others, Adeyemi Taiwo and Adeyemi Kehinde, who
were said to have been receiving some of the stolen items.
“Items
recovered from Oluwaseyi include six different laptops, one toy pistol,
one LG plasma Television, 34 phones, three stabilisers, one GOTV
decoder, a sum of N126, 500 cash and one Olympic camera.
“They
confessed that they have burgled several houses and carried out many
robbery operations in Ogbomoso area,” the Police boss added.
