A pilot with Max Air Ltd. thwarted what would have been a
major disaster involving a plane full of pilgrims at the Sir Ahmadu Bello
International Airport in Kebbi State.
The incident
occurred during takeoff when the pilot noticed that one of its engines was not
“powering very well.”
Spokesman
for Max Air Ltd., Alhaji Ibrahim Dahiru, said on the phone that the pilot
aborted the flight because he noticed some abnormalities in the engines.
Mr. Dahiru
said after the pilot reported the issue the management of the airline
immediately sent another aircraft to convey the pilgrims.
