Eagles get World Cup obligation

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will “do everything it takes” to guarantee the qualification of the Super Eagles for the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia.

Nigeria will meet the winner of the tie between Djibouti and Swaziland in the second round of qualifying in November after the draw for the tournament was conducted in Russia on Saturday.
A win for Nigeria in the second round will see the Super Eagles progress to the third round which will consist of five groups of four teams each.

The five group winners automatically qualify for the 2018 World Cup and the NFF insists the three-time African champions will be among Africa’s five flag bearers in Russia.
