No fewer than 13 people have been
killed in twin suicide bombings that hit the capital of Cameroon's far northern
region of Maroua on Wednesday.
The first explosion went off at a
market, while the second blast was at a densely populated neighbourhood,
according to a senior military source.
The attack was the second this month
and was the furthest south that Cameroon has been struck since it deployed
thousands of troops to the far north to combat neighbouring Nigeria's Boko
Haram insurgents.
