Lauryn Hill apologizes to her fans in Nigeria.

Perhaps a measure of her Nigeria’s population, a total 10 million people have seen Lauryn Hill‘s apology video to Nigerians which recorded 18 thousand views just 2 hours after its release on Facebook in May.

Lauryn Hill was billed to be in Lagos, Nigeria on May 1, 2015, ahead of her Lauryn Hill Live in Concert which was to take place at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island but the 39-year old singer couldn’t make it to Nigeria due to flight issues.

Then she took to her official website to apologize to her fans in Nigeria who would have been left disappointed for her absence in the country after so much anticipation.
She wrote:

Hello Lagos, Nigeria! We are disappointed to report that we will not be performing at tonight’s concert. From our end, we did everything we were supposed to do, including waiting at the airport for many hours, ready to fly out and share the evening with you. Unfortunately, after much effort, the promoter was not able to get all of our travel arrangements taken care of. This prevented us from being able to fly into Nigeria in time to make the concert. We were all very excited to come, and very disappointed that we couldn’t make this one. HOWEVER, we are working to reschedule our appearance ASAP. From what we’ve been told, the promoter intends to honor all tickets sold. Our best to and for Lagos.

 Love and Blessings!

Ms. Lauryn Hill and the MLH band and Production Team.’

And that video of the singer and her team now has 10 million views, a luxury not many music videos can afford. ...
